UNO SD

A compact horn loudspeaker with a great sound. A reduced, clear exterior with an almost lavishly elaborate technical interior.

The UNO is the scaled-down version of the classic DUO system. The goal was to achieve the clarity and performance of its “bigger” brother in a much smaller package.

The spherical 500mm midrange horn covers a wide bandwidth up to 300 Hz. Midrange and tweeter drivers are equipped with Omega voice coils. With this high impedance technology, we improve the interaction of diaphragm movement and amplifier signal. The result is an impedance of 18 ohms combined with a system sensitivity of 107 dB.

The Evolution XM1 is a 127 mm midrange horn driver optimized for long, linear excursion. Its new “soft mesh compound” cone uses a stable mesh carcass as the supporting structure. The microscopic openings of the grid are sealed with a synthetic elastomer coating. By combining a stable grid structure with a flexible coating, partial resonances of the dome itself are effectively reduced.

For the UNO SD, we have completely redesigned the tweeter. The lighter, annular diaphragm of the XT2 tweeter extends the frequency range up to 22,000 Hz at a sensitivity of 107 dB, providing more clarity, focus, and a fuller and more natural sound.

In the UNO SD’s subwoofer module, we use the new high-performance XB10 driver in a bass-reflex configuration. We have increased the voice coil from 100 mm of the previous model to 153 mm. This gigantic motor structure with a diameter of 6 inches achieves superior values of power factor and power handling. At the same time, thermal compression is significantly reduced.

The G3-500 bass amplifier has 500 watts and is equipped with an advanced digital sound processor. The new user interface allows easy adjustment of the sound to individual preferences and seamless integration of the system in a wide variety of rooms.
